Saranne Fourney

Saranne Fourney, age 90, whose life spanned 11 decades, died peacefully, in her sleep, at home, in the quiet, early morning hours of Friday, June 26, 2020. She was the Loving Wife of the late Eugene James Fourney II. Mother of Gene, John (Sandy), Bob (Queeny), Maryanne (Dave), and Joe (Evelyn). Grandmother and great-grandmother. Sister of Mick, Bob, Gene, Mary and Rick Cosgrove. Daughter of Joseph and Kathleen Cosgrove (nee Gouldie).

Saranne - born Sarah Anne Cosgrove – in Columbus, Indiana in 1929; was raised in Brookfield, Illinois. She lived in many states, traveled to many others, and finally settled, along with Gene, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado in 1995.

Saranne graduated from Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois. She received a Master's Degree in Religious Education from St. John's College in Cleveland, Ohio in 1975. She taught for several years at Erieview Catholic High School in Cleveland.

There will be a visitation on Thursday morning, July 2 from 10:00 to 11:00 with Funeral Liturgy to follow. All events take place at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122. Internment at a later date with her husband at Fort Logan National Cemetery. For the health of the family, and others, the family requests that MASKS BE WORN.
