Scot Michael Jensvold

June 2, 1959 — August 24, 2012

Scot Michael Jensvold, of Englewood, CO. and Del Mar, CA., was born June 2, 1959 in Seattle, WA, to Charles A. and Elaine Jensvold. He is survived by mother, Elaine, of Aurora, CO, brother Daniel of Del Mar, CA, sister Karin (Scott Rumage) of Seattle, WA, nieces Kirstin and Thea. Scot was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Charles III. Scot was an Education and Business graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder. He was a cheerful man who loved his family and friends, and was always ready for a good joke in spite of having a brain tumor as a youth and dealing with the after-effects his entire life. Clever, irreverent humor was a favorite, with key movie and TV excerpts performed from memory. Scot also liked everything about space, and was a member of the National Space Society's Denver chapter. Where ever people gathered for light-hearted fun, that was where Scot wanted to be. Going out for a bite to eat with old friends was always a special treat. Playing endless board games with his nieces, complete with requisite smack talk, made him in demand. He would look forward to family get-togethers for their fun factor and the chance to reminisce, where he had an uncanny ability to remember minute details from childhood. Scot would happily go forth in to a new crowd, introducing himself and chatting with everyone. Upbeat classic movies and old TV sit-coms, Monty Python's antics, cribbage, Beatles CD collections and posters, Far Side and Garfield cartoon compilations - all of these were facets of his personality. He truly enjoyed a positive outlook, and did not let life's challenges keep him from sharing that gift with those around him. A Memorial Service will be held in California at a later date.
