It is with great sadness that the family of Scott Shipman Johnson announce his sudden unexpected passing at the age of 56 on July 28, 2022 in Centennial, Colorado.
Scott was born in Santa Monica, California on September 9, 1965. Scott grew up in the Denver area, attended Cherry Creek High School and later the University of Vermont. Scott was employed by MasTec as an OSP Designer at the time of his passing.
Scott was loved by so many for his quick wit, easy going nature and kind heart. He was bright, humble and a loving dad. Watching his daughters play soccer and lacrosse was one of his greatest joys. He was a quiet, devoted presence on the sidelines and never missed a chance to cheer on his girls.
Scott was an ardent fly fisherman who loved the rivers of Montana and the mountains of Colorado. He enjoyed spending time at the mountain house surrounded by family and the peace and beauty of the outdoors.
Scott was an avid Colorado sports fan, with a particular love of the Denver Broncos.
Through the ups and downs, Scott remained a devoted, optimistic fan.
Scott is survived by his wife of 22 years, Amy Anthony Johnson; daughters Katherine and Lindsay; parents Les and Teedee Johnson; and sister, Sandy Johnson Parobek.
A private family memorial is planned.
