Scott Von Sprecken

Scott Allen Von Sprecken, 28, of Englewood, CO, passed away on March 9, 2022.

Scott was born on August 9, 1993 to Cheryl and Randy Von Sprecken in Flagstaff, AZ.  When Scott was 2, the family moved to Parker, CO.  Scott graduated from Chaparral High School and went on to Colorado State University in Fort Collins.  He very much enjoyed the semester he got to study in Germany.  After a brief hiatus from college, he went back and earned his BA in Political Science from Arizona State University.  Scott was employed by Comcast Business.

Scott had a great sense of humor.   There was a time period when he was little when he insisted everyone call him “Bill”.  He wrote many stories about the adventures of Bill.  He made friends and family laugh at his antics.

Scott loved animals, the outdoors, and sports.  He enjoyed dog sitting for Tip and Stella and liked cats too.  He would spend hours outdoors shooting hoops and also went biking, hiking and camping.  Scott really loved our family trips to Alaska where he could kayak, fish and climb mountains.  He followed every type of professional sports, but hockey was clearly his favorite sport to watch and play.  He was still having a blast playing hockey with the boys that he grew up playing with.

Scott is survived by his father Randy and mother Cheryl (Tim), siblings Keith and Emma, aunts Chris (Carl), Wendy, Sheryl (Dave), Jackie, and Vickie, uncles Tim (Linda), Ron, Ricky (Caron), cousins Lindsey (Matt), Caitie (Reid), Brian C., Liam (Sarah), Brian B., Matthew, and Daniel.

A viewing will be held at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO  80122 on March 18, 2022 at 2 pm.  A service will follow at 3 pm and a reception at 4.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dumb Friends League—Buddy Center, Castle Rock www.ddfl.org/buddy-center to honor Scott’s love of animals.
