Scott Lee McKenzie was born to Velma and Richard McKenzie on November 4th, 1971 as the baby of seven children.
Scott lived all over Colorado for most of his childhood where he would eventually graduate a year early from Bear Creek High School. After high school he enlisted in The United States Marine Corps where he quickly moved through the ranks before he was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1994 after the birth of his first daughter Stevie Lyn. A year later his Second daughter Jessica Renee was born.
Although he was no longer in the Marine Corps the Marine Corps lived on in him and in his everyday values including how he raised his girls.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for many years at various places. He eventually landed at Wagner Equipment’s medium duty truck shop. He worked his way up to night lead which he worked for many years. He eventually decided to make a change and became The on highway truck engine technical communicator.
He loved to share his knowledge with anyone who would listen. He loved his cats and his daughters more than anything. He enjoyed going to hockey games and to the casinos when he could. He also LOVED music and knew what seemed to be every word to every song ever written.
Scott passed peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep on February 16th, 2021. Scott has now joined his father Richard and sisters Kimberly and Sheryl who preceded him in death. He is survived by many loved ones who will feel the pain of his passing for some time.
We’ll meet you on the other side of Wolf Creek Pass.
