Shannon Renee Fontana of Parker, Colorado went to be with her Lord and Savior following a traffic accident on Highway 83 in Colorado Springs on the morning of May 25, 2016. She was 47 years old. She is survived by her husband, Andy Fontana, son Christopher Veltri, daughter Melissa Bell, and son-in-law Ashton Bell. She is also survived by her mother Linda Ivy, brother Travis Ivy and his family, and sisters Chelsea Van Bastelaar, Chenille Van Bastelaar and their families. Shannon was born in La Mirada, California on July 19, 1968. She graduated from Redondo Union High School in 1986 with several high achievements. She was married to Frank Veltri from 1990 to 1995, and started a family in Culver City, California. Shannon later met her future husband, Andy, and remarried in 1998. They were married for 18 years. Shannon worked part time in her younger days at age 14 in a flower shop and eventually started her own home floral business while raising her young children. She entered the automobile business and remained there for several years working her way up the ladder, finally achieving the position of service manager of an auto dealership, partnered with longtime friend of 30 years, Steven Hogarth. Together they were a sought after management team. Shannon and Steve were on their way to a new opportunity in Colorado Springs. Shannon, Andy, Steven and his wife, Tina, had started an alpaca business in 2015 at Shannon and Andy's Parker home on five acres. It was a dream come true for them. Her favorite things in life were: her children, gardening, animals, sunflowers, and making a warm and inviting home to enjoy with family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado.
