Sharon Luanne Becker

December 8, 1939 — December 29, 2018

Sharon ""Sweet Shari"" Luanne Becker
December 8, 1939 - December 29, 2018
Sharon Becker passed away in Lakewood Colorado December 29, 2018 due to natural causes.
Sharon was born December 8, 1939 to her parents Vera Annabelle Garbe and Merle William Garbe in Denver Colorado. Sharon, in her youth, was in the Pep Club. She worked at Mountain States Telephone CO In the Directory Dept. and Sales Clerical Unit. Sharon was also a nurse's aide at Lamb Memorial Hospital. She then went on to hold a file clerk and accounts payable position until she found her passion job working in Blackhawk at the Isle of Capri Casino. She was at home there for 8 years until she retired in 2007.
Sharon always had a lot of friends and enjoyed dancing. She even belonged to the USO in her youth along with her sisters, Pam and Nancy. Sharon and her sisters used to also love to go to Teddy's Lounge and dance to the oldies music there. She loved spending time with family, going up the hill to the casino playing slot machines and as her all time favorite, the Christmas season. Sharon loved decorating for Christmas; she always had an impeccable Christmas tree and loved driving around looking at Christmas lights every year. Sharon was also an avid sports fan. Broncos were her #1 team, but in the summer time she had the Rockies games on more often than not. Winter it would turn to Av's games if the Broncos were not playing. Screaming at the TV during a game was a Becker home sport.
Sharon married the love of her life Stephen Becker on March 28th, 1992. They both loved going to the casino and watching sports (Sharon yelled at the TV more than Steve). Sharon took care of Steve for many years, as he suffered from MS until he passed on December 30, 2016.
Sharon is survived by her Brother William Garbe; sister Pam Stevens; daughter Tina (Gerald) Hodge; son Anthony Crowder; grandson Brandon Hanz; step-grandsons Cody and Corey Hodge; 2 nephews Chris Garbe and Edwin Garbe; 6 nieces Becky Garbe, Cindy DeWolfe, Anna Straley, Gretchen Stevens, Jennifer Stevens and Paige Patron. Sharon is preceded in death by her Husband Stephen Becker; daughter Antoinette Crowder mother Annabelle Garbe; father Merle Garbe; sister Nancy Garbe; sister-in-law Lorraine Garbe.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 15, 2019, 10:00 am at Unity Spiritual Center Denver 3021 S. University Blvd., Denver CO 80210.
