Funeral services and Christian Burial for Sharon Lee Williams a resident of Denver, CO. will be at Horan & McConaty, (3101 S. Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado) at 12:00pm, Wednesday, September 16th, 2015. The family will greet friends from 1:00 pm-2:30 pm, at the reception, directly following the funeral service at Horan & McConaty. The Burial service will start at 3:00pm, at Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, CO. Sharon entered Heaven's Gates, on Friday, September 11, 2015 at her home in Pinehurst Village. Sharon was born March 12, 1936 in Denver, Colorado, at Saint Joseph's Hospital, the daughter of Evelyn Nelson. She graduated from Caldwell High School, in 1954. She married Roland Lee Haile who preceded her in death July 16, 1989. Sharon moved to Denver in 1970 and began her career with Fashion Bar and quickly moved up the company ladder to become the Fashion Director and Merchandise Coordinator. Sharon retired from Fashion Bar in 1989. Sharon had an unwavering faith of God and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir. Among her other affiliations were Beta Sigma Phi Sorority (Xi, Xi Chapter). Pinehurst Country Club, Mount Vernon Country Club, and the National Republican Party. She was devoted to her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of her biggest loves was her long time companion and best friend, Captain Ronald Heckmen. They were inseparable until the very end. Sharon was a sports fan and loved cheering on her Broncos. She was a gracious entertainer, adored animals, especially her cat Oreo. Sharon enjoyed music and dance, which she passed on to her children. Sharon Williams is survived by her children; Kari L. Robinson, Fort Collins, Colorado, Dana D McGrath, Greenwood Village, Colorado, Aaron E Williams, Denver, Colorado, 4 loving grandchildren, Stephane, Ashley, Stephen and Simeon and 2 great-grandchildren Stella and Hank; 1 brother, Eugene Odekirk. Her companion Captain Ron Heckman lovingly cared for her the last year of her life. The family gives Ron, Denver Hospice and everyone who cared for Sharon their greatest gratitude. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Denver Humane Society.
