Sherrie Rae Justice

Sherrie was born to Robert "Bob" and Sue Smith on October 24, 1977, and passed away on August 26, 2023. She attended local schools between Evanston, WY and Roy, UT and graduated from Roy High School in 1996. After graduation, she married Gary R Justice II and together they had three children, Gary III, Alexia, and Brooklyn.
 
For a while after graduating high school, Sherrie attended Snow College in Ephraim, UT. Then in 2012 graduated from Steven Henagers College in Ogden, UT with an associate degree in graphic arts. Sherrie always said that learning was never her strong suit, but it was always something that she worked hard at. Along with her AA degree Sherrie had also earned her MA (Medical Assistance) certificate.
 
Throughout her life Sherrie worked many different jobs always trying to find ways to improve herself and those around her. For a while she worked as a bank teller for Zions Bank, a MA at Intermountain Health Care, and Circle of Life Women's Center. As well as a department manager for JC Penny's and a head cashier at Lowe's, where she was always quick to make friends and strived to excel in everything that she did.
 
During Sherrie's free time she always enjoyed working with her hands from doing cross stitching (something that she learned from her mother) and was teaching her own daughters to do as well. To building Lego and even learning to work with power tools so she could work on her next project for Christmas or just as a new hobby.
 
Sherrie and Gary always hoped that she would be able to be a grandmother in this life and in March of 2023, that came true when they were blessed with their grandson Archer, who Sherrie did everything she could to spend as much time with and cherish every moment.
 
Sherrie was proceeded in death by her mother Melissa Sue Smith; grandparents Charles "Chuck" Hall, and Robert and Juanita Smith.
 
Sherrie is survived by her husband of 24 years Gary II; son Gary III; daughters Alexia and Brooklyn; grandson Archer; father Robert "Bob" Smith; sisters Sonya (Troy) Pewtress and Crystal (Rory) Bostian; grandmother Berneida "Berni" Hall; mother and father-in-law Gary and Michele Justice; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
 
Sherrie's "Celebration of Life" services will be held Friday September 15, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6465 W Jewell Ave., Lakewood, CO.
