Shirley graduated from Humboldt High School in St. Paul on June 9th, 1947 and married Charles (Bill) William Brokaw November 8, 1947. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bill of Wheatland, children; Nancy Peterson (Ron) of Denver, Charles (Chuck) Brokaw (Maggie) of Thornton, Linda Stanton (Danny) of Golden, and Sally Sanchez of Wheatland, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Shirley will also join many other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Shirley was a hard worker while she was able and still tried to do too much when she wasn't. Her family was extremely important to her and her love for her husband and children ran deeply. She craved to hear what and how they were doing daily right up to her last breath. She had a smile and kind word for everyone and was a friend to everyone. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends. In lieu of flowers please consider donations in her honor to the: Platte County Wheatland Relay for Life, 333 S. Beech St., Casper, WY 82601.
