Shirley Carry

Shirley Lucille Carry, age 97, died peacefully at Rocky Mountain Assisted Living on March 2nd, 2022. She was born on July 24, 1924 to Orrin and Dorothy Connelly in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from North High School and married Robert Carry of Washington, D.C. on June 29, 1947. They moved to Wheat Ridge, Colorado in 1952 where she resided until her death.

Grandma Shirley was a kind, loving and very generous person who enjoyed sending cards, notes or letters for every occasion. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister June, her grandson Gregory and her husband Robert. She is survived by her children Barbara Nixon, Michael Carry and Joan Dowling, her nine grandchildren, Tara Belamour (Paul), Michael Nixon (Amy), Ron Nixon, Kevin Nixon (Kelly), Jamie Dowling (Adrian), Brian Dowling (Jessica), Eric Dowling, Patrick Carry and Christopher Carry, and her eight great grandchildren. There will be no services. Donations in Shirley’s memory may be sent to Gateway Hospice or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
