Shirley Rose Draper

Shirley Rose Draper, (Shirley Hohing) passed away in her home, surrounded by her loving family on February 6, 2012 in Longmont, CO at the age of 87. She was born on October 26, 1924 and graduated from Manual Training High School where she was voted Victory Queen in 1942. Shirley is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Patrick Draper, son Francis W. Draper, daughters Barbara Lehr, Victoria Martin, Patricia Schlotter, and two grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Shirley met Bill while he was on leave in 1944. After 6 dates, he returned from the service and they married in 1945. After 67 years of marriage, they often commented on their growing confidence that they thought their marriage might just work out. Shirley will be dearly missed.
