Shirley Faye Duffy

Shirley is survived by her cherished husband of 56 years, Alvin, her three beautiful daughters and their wonderful spouses, Laura & Stan Norman, Mary & Lee Fandrick and Kristie & Keith White. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren and their amazing spouses, David & Jamie Parks, Jennifer & Benjamin Lensink and Karen & Thomas Mills in addition to her beloved great grandchildren, Bailey, Bradley & Breeana Parks; Savannah, Katelyn, Jessica & Jameson Lensink and Thomas, Emma and baby Mills and her sweet animals Lil Bit & Cricket. Shirley was a soft, kind and gentle soul who enjoyed waking up in the morning, sitting on the deck and drinking a cup of coffee while listening to the birds. She loved to read, do puzzles, paint ceramics and going to Lake McConaughy in the summer. She was a wonderful cook whom the family called their ""their little Bobby Flay"" of the kitchen. Shirley most enjoyed spending time with her family whether it be a birthday or holiday celebration, a family BBQ, her great grandchildren's school and sporting events and even a quick stop by her families homes and works just to say hello. She always took the time to make sure everyone she encountered was treated with courtesy, respect and a kind word. Shirley was a generous lady who would sacrifice herself to ensure others were happy and she did it without thinking twice. Everyone else's happiness is what made her happy. She welcomed everybody with a bright smile and made it easy for people to feel comfortable in her presence. Our wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend will be missed dearly, but will always be thought of with a loving memory and warm place in our hearts.
