Shirley ""Gomer"" Hanson

Shirley “Gomer” Hanson, 91, passed away on August 9, 2019. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Shirley is survived by her children Roy (JeanAnn) Hanson, Kristine (Steve) Hanson Farley; her grandchildren Derrik Hanson and Heidi Hanson; her sister-in-law Vivian Hanson Phillips, her nieces and nephews Cindy Coffman Koch, Steve Coffman, Andy Coffman, Eric Phillips, and David Phillips; along with many other loving family members and friends. Shirley has now been reunited with her loving husband Peter R. Hanson.

There will be a Viewing on Thursday, August 15th from 5pm to 7pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel at 7577 W. 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 16th at 10am at the King of Glory Lutheran Church at 10001 W 58th Ave, Arvada, CO 80002. Shirley will be laid to rest at the Arvada Cemetery.

Shirley was actively involved in raising money for Breast Cancer Research. She helped organize Rally for the Cure at Indian Tree Golf Course for 10 years. To help carry on Shirley's generosity it is suggested that Memorial Donations be contributed to this year's MORE THAN PINK Walk. Donations may be made by check. Please make the check out to Komen Colorado, and then mail it to Ann Wolta Blackstone 7126 South Poplar Street Centennial, CO 80112. The MORE THAN PINK Walk will be held on September 29th 2019.

You are encouraged to wear Shirley’s favorite color blue to the services.
