Shirley A (Rickhoff) Korodi was Born in Blue Island, IL, on March 2, 1925 and passed away in Denver, CO on September 19, 2022. Shirley was married to Alex Korodi (deceased) on November 16, 1946. She is survived by her children Sandra Bowen, Randall Korodi (Wanda), Candice Michalke (Rudy) Grandkids, Kristine (Fred) VanVleck, Nicole Emerson, Jeff (Gladys) Bowen, Kim Michalke, Vicky (Ray) Deichsel. Great-grandkids, Blake, Dylan, Brody, Kylie, Maddie, Stella, Mathew, Alexis, Zach. Great,Great-grandkids - Caitlyn, Madi Mae, Bella Rose
Shirley worked for the railroad as a typist. Moved to Denver in 1958. Worked at Montgomery Wards in the catalog department, and then as a clerk at Duckwalls 5 &10 store for over 20 years (this was just temporary to get extra money for Christmas). She was active in the Daughters of the Nile, in the patrol unit where they won many awards for their performance drill routines. She loved playing games, and was an avid bowler well into her 80’s. Loved working in her yard, and cheering on the Denver Broncos.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 2 pm until 5 pm at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227. Her Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 11:30am, also at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home. Burial services will be at Ft Logan Cemetery.
