Shirley was the third child born to Bernadette and Thomas Nault in Clifton, KS on November 15, 1938. She was one of eleven children. On June 15, 1957, she married her husband Paul Gene Ouellette, who she was able to spend 57 years with him until his passing ten years ago. On January 22, 1959, Shirley and Paul welcomed their first daughter, Becky. They moved to Colorado in 1961 where they purchased their first house in Northglenn. Their second daughter, Annette, was born on May 10, 1967. Shirley stayed in Northglenn for most of her life until she developed health issues. That is when she moved to Keensburg, CO and then Brush, CO.
Shirley was loved by everyone that met her. She was a great conversationalist and loved to talk for hours on the phone. She was a child care provider for so many children. Some of them still kept in touch with her until she passed. They were considered to be part of her family.
Shirley was a very organized individual that had a lot of compassion for her flowers. Every spring, she would love to plant her flowers. She would also spend several hours relaxing, walking, shopping, cleaning (can’t forget that), and being a shoulder to lean on when you needed someone to talk to.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, grandchildren/great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
