Shirley Ann Turnquist of Denver Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2024, at the age of 81.
Shirley was born in Mosca, Colorado and lived most of her life in the Denver, Aurora, and Hudson, Colorado area. She was an extremely creative person and loved any art especially southwestern Indian styles. This creativity was shown in her profession as a beautician and later an arts and crafts business creating designs with mirrors with her husband Reggie. She was so passionate that many times she would work through the night with excitement creating something she drew or designed. Times were hard once she physically could no longer do these things, but it still never stopped her smile and laugh. She loved her dachshunds and rarely did you see her without one of them on her lap. Shirley had a great smile and an infectious laugh that made everyone around her smile.
Shirley is survived by her two children Sonja and Tim, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Her husband Reggie Coats cared for her the last few years, as she became immobile and needed support.
