Shirley "Shyrl" Moore

Shirley “Shyrl” Wingerter Moore, age 84 of Centennial, CO, died peacefully at home on February 28, 2023.  Shyrl was born in Selfridge, North Dakota on July 7, 1938 and moved to Casper, Wyoming in her childhood where she met her husband Forrest to whom she was married for 55 years before he died in 2019.  She is predeceased by Forrest and by her parents Leo Wingerter and Margaret “Marge” Gustin Wingerter and brother Gerald “Boe” Wingerter.  She is survived by several siblings: Rosalie (Jerry) Ressler of Casper, WY, Norleen (Stuart) Healy of Sheridan, WY, Terrance “Terry” (Edwina) Wingerter of Casper, WY, Bonita “Bonnie” (Richard) Pearsall of Media, PA, Thomas “Tom” (Ann) Wingerter of Tulsa, OK, Karen (William) Cloud of Denver, CO, Joseph “Joe” (Lori) Wingerter of Omaha, NE as well as all their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, several of whom were also her Godchildren.

She will be missed dearly by her own children and grandchildren as well; Della (Patrick) Corcoran, Forrest and Jason of Farmington, CT; Deanne Moore, Thomas, Victoria, Henry and Margareta “Greta” Quill of Austin, TX; Dayna (Brian) White, Isaac, Lydia, Jared of Kyle, TX; Brian (Paola) Moore of New York, New York.

In addition she leaves behind a large caring and supportive community of friends, many of whom claimed her as their “best friend”.  Shyrl had a warm smile and a big heart. She was generous and caring; a bright spot in everyone’s day. All who knew her will miss her deeply.

Rosary and Vespers will be held Friday March 3, 2023 at 7:30 pm at St Louis Catholic Church, Englewood, CO.

Funeral Mass Saturday March 4,2023 at 1:30 pm at St James Catholic Church, Denver, CO.
