Sidney "Sid" Russell Eads

Sidney (Sid) Russell Eads, of Arvada, was born November 21, 1959 in Wray, Colorado, and passed away surrounded by loved ones, in Denver, Colorado on January 28, 2024, after a brave and courageous battle.

Sid spent part of his youth living in Texas, Virginia, and New Mexico, where he played football and baseball, but Colorado was his true home and he was happy to return to Colorado in his early teens. He was a proud 4^th Generation Coloradan. 

Sid had many passions in life, which included driving in the mountains, model trains, NASCAR, baseball, firearms, knives, and westerns, particularly John Wayne; however, his greatest passion was family and the love and life he shared with his sweetie, Rachel. He loved being a Grandpa to Cairo and Myla. He was an amazing Husband, Son, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Brother-in-Law, Uncle, Great Uncle, Friend, and an all-around remarkable person. Anyone who was fortunate enough to have known Sid would tell you what a kind, loving, and selfless soul he was.

Sid worked for Kinder Morgan for 25 years and was proud to be part of the IT group.  His genuine care for his colleagues and the easy way in which he communicated with people made him a cherished member of the Kinder Morgan family.

Sid fought incredibly hard the last four months of his life.  He was a valiant warrior and his determination and will to live was extraordinary and inspiring to all who witnessed his strength. Throughout it all, Sid remained hopeful, positive, and kind and was so gracious to everyone he encountered during his immensely difficult battle. Our thanks to everyone at AdventHealth Porter Hospital for their compassion, care, love, and support.

Sid is preceded in death by his Mother, Joan Nelson.   He is survived by his wife, Rachel Klarner; son, John Eads (Tanja); sister, Nina (Bill); brother, Del Eads (Beth); grandson, Cairo Eads; granddaughter, Myla Eads, and numerous extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.

Sid will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  May he rest in peace and rest in love.

Services will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 5:30pm at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W. 80^th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003.
