Signe M. Keffer

Signe (Sig) Martha Keffer was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She was born February 18, 1928 in Monte Vista, Colorado and passed away at home in Aurora, Colorado on December 20, 2015. Her husband of 59 years, Craig preceded her in death in 2014. Singe was blessed with two sons, one daughter, a grandson, grand-daughter-in-law and two great-grandsons. Signe graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1946 and then went on to Adam State College where she received a lifetime teacher's certificates. After college she taught 3rd grade at the elementary school in Center, Colorado. Signe met and married Craig while living in Center. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts and baking. When her children were young she was very involved in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Signe enjoyed helping at the church and visiting with friends and family. Signe is preceded in death by Oscar Anderson, father, Christine Anderson, mother, Philip, Walter, Edward Anderson, brothers, and June Browning, sister. She is survived by Aaron Robert Keffer, son, Sharon Gaylene Keffer, daughter, Dennis Lynn Keffer, son, David (Mellissa) Hempel, grandson, Kiegan and Brysen Hempel, great-grandsons, Mildred Keck and Violet DeVore, sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Signe will be missed by her family and all of her friends that loved her.
