Silas River Ogden earned his wings on February 25, 2016, he was only 13 months old. He passed peacefully while sleeping in bed with his mother after battling a lifelong rare genetic disorder. Although Silas lived a short life he touched many hearts and was surrounded by love everyday he spent here with us. Silas's life was short but so meaningful to the ones who love him dearly. Silas was met in heaven by his sister Dahlia Blue Ogden, who passed from the same rare genetic disorder in May of 2014. Without Silas, his family never would have gotten a diagnosis as Dahlia died before a diagnosis was made. Silas seemed to have a mission here to solve unanswered questions and be loved completely and unconditionally. Silas had a smile and laugh that could light a room up, and it did. His happy moments were cherished by his family as he loved to be held, rocked, and played with. Silas's two favorite things were definitely his big brother Nash and kitty cat Sid Vicious, if one of them were close it would always make Silas smile. Silas's path here was short and there will never be a day that his family doesn't remember his sweet and loving smile. Our arms ache as we all wish to hold him just one more time. His memory and his legacy will forever be in our hearts. Silas leaves behind his incredibly sweet and brave big brother Nash. His parents are heartbroken that Nash must suffer the loss of another sibling, yet are so proud of the amazing strength and courage he showed by loving his brother every day without hesitation. Silas will be forever missed. His family plans on having a memorial & celebration of life at a time yet to be determined this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a fund for Nash to help pay for his continued therapy. Silas's Memorial Fund for Nash - https://www.youcaring.com/nash-ogden-536190
