Sophie Frances Sunedsh

Sophie Frances Sunedsh was born on December 22, 1908 in Pueblo, CO to John and Frances. At the age of 9, she was sent to St. Clara's Orphanage until 1923 followed by St. Gertrude Academy in Boulder, CO. In 1943, she joined the Navy as a WAVE where she spent just over 2 years mainly stationed in Hawaii. After her service, she lived the rest of her life in Denver where she worked as a secretary for Travelers Insurance Company. Sophie found joy in gardening, traveling, and spending time with friends. Sophie was always there with a helping hand for so many people throughout her life and she was a blessing and joy to those who knew her. She passed away peacefully on December 8, 2011. There are no surviving family members, but for those closest to her, she will be greatly missed. Services will be held on Friday December 16, 2011 11:00AM at Blessed Sacrament Church 4900 Montview Blvd., Denver, CO, 80220. A Reception will follow the Funeral Mass at the church.
