Sr. Margaret Reidy, S.L.

Sr. Margaret Reidy, S.L. passed away at the Sisters of Loretto Motherhouse in Nerinx, KY on June 16, 2004. She was born on October 7, 1921. She was preceded in death by her father, Timothy, and her mother, Anna P., her sisters, Edith M. Brittan and Ann Elaine Reidy and her brothers, Eugene and Maurice. She is survived by her brother Michael, her sister-in-law, Marge Reidy, thirty-seven nieces and nephews, forty-three great nieces and nephews and one grand nephew. She graduated from St. Mary's elementary and high school in Pittsburg, KS and from Loretto Heights College in Denver in 1944. She received her MA from St. Louis University in 1951. She entered the Sisters of Loretto in 1944. She taught at secondary schools in Colorado, Illinois and Missouri. She was principal at Nerinx Hall in St. Louis for six years and St. Mary's Academy in Denver for three years. She was an avid Notre Dame and Broncos football fan.
