Our beloved Stacia Anne Burtt, 49, unexpectedly passed away on April 30th, 2018. Stacia had a warm heart for animals and tended to the care of horses, chickens, her two dogs, one cat, and the local deer population. She had a warm heart with a feisty disposition and would give you the shirt off her back for if you needed it. She so deeply loved her family and friends. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet Stacia would be able to share a story of her witty comebacks, rumbles of laughter, and her tenacious spirit. She is greatly missed. Stacia grew up in the Washington Park neighborhood and graduated from South High School in 1986. Through her adolescence, she worked as a waitress at the Saucy Noodle Restaurant in the Bonnie Brae area. An art enthusiast, Stacia recently managed the extensive artwork collection of Dr. Wayne F. Yakes. Her duties included cataloging, inventory management, condition reports, loan paperwork, transportation, insurance etc. 'all steps necessary to ensure the safe transportation of the collection to exhibits locally, and across the country. On June 20, 1991 she married Vincent Burtt and had two sons, Zachary and Chandler Burtt. The Burtt family moved from the Washington Park area to Franktown, CO. in 2008 in search of the more peaceful and quiet country life. It is here where Stacia had a larger space to create a warm and welcoming home for her family, her friends and her animals. She enjoyed tending to her garden, attending her sonâs sporting events, traveling and soaking in the sunshine with a hot cup of coffee. Besides her husband and two sons, she is survived by her father, David Forrester and mother, Beverly Forrester; three brothers, Anthony (Linda), Jason, and Steven (Kelly) Forrester; sister-in-law, Tristan Burtt; three nieces and one nephew, Kelsey, Scottie, Danielle, and Alyssa Forrester. She also has many extended family members. Stacia is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Jean Burtt, whom she cared for and loved dearly. On Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 there will be a public viewing from 5:00 p.m-7:00 p.m. with a closed casket reciting of the rosary immediately following from 7:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty located at 11150 E. Rest now, and we will take comfort in knowing we will carry you with us wherever we go, forever.
