Stanley E. Brown (a.k.a. Stoshb) passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in his home on August 6, 2015 in Highlands Ranch, CO. He was 79. Stan was born on Mother's Day, May 10, 1936, in The Bronx, NY, to his parents, Harry and Betty (Goldberg) Brown. In December of 1953, Stan joined the United States Air Force. He started as a ""scope dope"" sitting in a dark room tracking aircraft movements on radar. After 17 years in the Aerospace Control and Warning Systems Command, he made an important career change to become an Air Force recruiter. He had a distinguished military career rising quickly to one of the youngest ever promoted to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. During his military career he had the opportunity to travel and reside throughout the U.S. & abroad. In 1979, he was named ""Air Force Recruiter of the Year."" He retired from the military in July of 1980, with 26 years of outstanding service. His passion for recruiting led him to continue in the private sector as a highly successful, professional head hunter, changing the lives of thousands of people. Even after two retirements, Stan remained in the business and continued to network and mentor other recruiters, while making life-long friends. Stanley enjoyed reading, traveling and finding new places to enjoy a lunch with a good friend. He was considered a ""foodie"" and loved to try new restaurants. Stan loved watching a variety of sports. He favored his NY sports teams, the Yankees and the Giants, and also cheered for the Broncos.
