Stanley A. Lochrie

February 22, 1931 — March 19, 2011

Stanley A. Lochrie passed away suddenly on March 19, 2011 in Arizona. Originally from Denver, Stan and his wife, Pam, spent the last seasons of their 46 years of marriage between Marana, Arizona and Grand Junction, Colorado. Many happy times were shared with daughter, Judy Lochrie of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and with son, Gary Lochrie of Southlake, Texas, and his wife, Kathy, and grandsons, Chad, Kyle, Marine Corps, Cherry Point, North Carolina, and granddaughter, Jenny and husband, Dayne of Thornton, Colorado. Stan's deceased parents, Emery and Harriet Lochrie, and brother, Glenn Lochrie, as well as his surviving cousins, Dann Jurgens of Denver, Colorado, and Patty Benoit of Belmont, California share with others his pride as a Marine and Denver firefighter. As a Marine in the Korean War, Stan served in the 1st 155 MM Battalion 1951-1954, returning home as Sergeant. Stan joined the Denver Fire Department in 1955 and felt honored to serve with many other Denver firemen for 26 years. Stan retired in 1982 with the rank of Captain. A Memorial Service and Reception will be held at 9:30 A.M., Friday, June 10, 2011 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado 80227 with an Interment to follow at 11:30 A.M., Fort Logan National Cemetery - Pavilion 'B' In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
