Stephanie Michelle Brantley

December 15, 1971 — September 21, 2012

Stephanie Michelle Brantley (Stevie to many of her friends), 40, of Gypsum, Colorado entered into eternal rest Friday, September 21st, 2012. She was born to Stephen and Peggy Brantley, December 15th, 1971, in Wiesbaden, Germany. Stephanie called many places home in her life. From Germany, she moved to Las Vegas, NV, to Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado, to San Bernardino, CA where she started her schooling. She, then, moved to England and attended British school in Bury St. Edmonds, and then moved to Rhein-Main, Germany. In 1984 she moved with her family to Charleston, SC where she finished grade school at Divine Redeemer Catholic School, and attended North Charleston High School. From there, she carried on to Aurora, CO and then to Garden Grove California. She, then, moved to Ramstein Germany where she met and married her first husband, Paul Garcia and welcomed into the world her first two children: Holli and Luke Garcia. Stephanie moved with her family to Sacramento, CA for a brief time before moving to Arvada, CO to reunite with her parents and siblings. She met and married her second husband, Wes Dorram and mothered her third child, Hunter Dorram and moved to Gypsum, CO. In her youth, she enjoyed cheerleading, swimming, and horseback riding. In her adolescence, she enjoyed being a part of the drill team in JROTC and the rifle team. She also enjoyed reading, arts and crafts and creating something from nothing. She carried that into her adult life, where she also found a love for baking/cooking, camping, flowers/plants and motorcycles. She would be up all hours of the night playing Farmville, and Mafia wars on Facebook. She took her billiards very seriously and was quite a threat at the pool table. She loved taking her children for rides in the car and sightseeing. Stephanie is survived by three children: Holli Garcia; Luke Garcia; and Hunter Dorram, and by her parents, Stephen and Peggy Brantley as well as four siblings: Stephen Jr. (Sarah), Paul, Harold James, and Andrew (Mollie). She is also survived by three nieces, 1 nephew and an abundance of aunts, uncles and cousins. Stephanie was very independent, brave and had a strong personality. The diverse skills she learned growing up gave her the opportunity to sample many different jobs, including employment with the Vail Daily News which she truly enjoyed. She was loving, compassionate, memorable and playful. She was extremely protective of all of her family and friends and loved them all immeasurably. She was also very proud of all of her family. Her infectious laughter brought joy to others. A Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Rosary will follow at 7:00pm.
