Stephen Yale Barnes

Stephen Yale Barnes, 79, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.

He was born December 5, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Jack Yale Barnes and Gladys Ruby Barnes.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Marjorie D. Barnes; two daughters, Michelle (Mark) Myers, and Jennifer Barnes; son Derek Barnes, stepdaughter Duke (Chris) Johnson, stepsons; Danny (Suzie) Johnson, and Mike (Cara) Johnson, 2 siblings; sister Pat (Jack) Coe, brother Charles (Leona) Barnes, 13 grandchildren; Heather, Amanda, Sienna, Shelbie, Riley, Aidan, Sanford, Cristionna, Zackery, Kendelle, Keigan, Loretta, Davis and 2 great grandchildren; Cru and Link. He is preceded in death by his son Christian Yale Barnes.

Steve started his education at Texas Christian University and graduated from the University of Colorado with degrees in Biology Pre-Med, Chemistry, and Mathmatics and worked in the medical sales industry and sales in general. He was an avid fisherman and tennis player with a love for the outdoors, mountains, and especially Montana. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son that will be deeply missed.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 12pm Friday, December 21 2018 at First Plymouth Congregational Church, 3501 S. Colorado Boulevard, Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113. Reception to follow at Sam’s No3, 2580 S. Havana St., Aurora, CO 80014 at 2:00pm.
