Stephen Bero, 70, passed away on December 2, 2015. He was born August 9, 1945, in Algoma, Wisconsin, to Malitha and Joe Bero. Steve is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan Thielke Bero, sister Leilani and brother in law Willard Magle, and nieces and nephews. Steve retired as a Special Agent with the Office of Special Investigations after 20 years in the Air Force. He enjoyed being stationed all over the world. After retiring in Denver, Colorado, in 1989, Steve continued to work as an electronics technician for various companies until he retired again in 2015. He loved fishing, boating, and riding his motorcycle, and was active in his church. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at Abiding Word Lutheran Church, 8391 S. Burnley Court, Highlands Ranch, Colorado, on Friday, December 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Air Force Memorial Foundation in his name.
