Stephen Titus Guthrie

Stephen T. Guthrie, age 71, of Larkspur, died peacefully at home on October 6, 2011 after a courageous fight against metastatic melanoma. Steve was born on May 18th, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to parents William and Jayne Guthrie. He is survived by the love of his life, Judy Guthrie of Larkspur, Colorado; his daughters, Jennifer Guthrie Vietas, of Okinawa, Japan and Cynthia Guthrie Orleans of Frisco, Texas; his sons-in-law and great friends, Jay Andrew Vietas and Gregory James Orleans; his loving mother-in-law, Eleanor Jester; and beloved grandchildren Cassandra Mae Vietas (14), Christopher Guthrie Vietas (11), McKenna Nicole Orleans (7) and Kieran James Orleans (4). He will be missed by his little sister, Susan Heebink and her husband Dennis, brother David and his wife Ann, brother Phil, many nephews and nieces and numerous lifelong buddies. The family will be celebrating his life both in Colorado and Ohio. A memorial will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 4 PM at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E County Line Rd, Centennial, Colorado. There will be a second celebration on Saturday, October 15th at 1:00 at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd, Grandview, Ohio.
