Stephen Morgan Magor

Stephen Morgan Magor, of Lakewood, Colorado died Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was born in Denver, Colorado on November 25, 1941 to Frank and Margaret Magor. Steve was a graduate of North High School, class of 1960. After high school he began working for Public Service (now Xcel Energy) as a meter reader, later a customer service representative, and finally a computer programmer. He later worked for IBM as a Sr. System Analyst. He graduated from Regis University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Music was always part of his life, either listening, teaching, or playing percussion instruments with various jazz groups in the Denver area. Throughout those years, Steve did a lot of volunteering. He loved coaching, refereeing, and playing soccer. In retirement he enjoyed volunteering with rescue cats. Steve also loved the Colorado outdoors, whether hiking, camping, or fly fishing. He is survived by his sons, Paul (Bridget) of Ohio, Todd (Patty) of Northglenn, and Neil (Angie) of Arvada; seven grandchildren, Clayton Magor, Coleby Magor, Cory (Heather) Magor, Madison Magor, William Magor, Derek Magor, and Melissa Magor; and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Margo (Gene) Shimel of Longmont, Colorado Celebration of Steve's Life will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, 2:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada.
