Stephen A. Small, age 71, passed away at Advent Hospice in Centennial, Colorado, on October 26, 2024.

Born on August 10, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, he lived in a number of places during his life; Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos, Tampa, Florida, White Plains, NY and Englewood, Colorado. A PADI certified scuba instructor, he taught and guided scuba diving in the Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos and on cruise ships out of Tampa. While scuba diving, he developed skills in underwater photography and graduated from a film course at Scripps Institution of Oceanography School in Santa Barbara, CA. In 1989 he moved to White Plains, NY and worked as a video editor in Manhattan until moving back to Englewood, CO in 1994 where he worked for Channel 9 News and Starz/Encore until retiring in 2016.

Stephen was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, camping and riding ATV/UTVs. He also won multiple awards for his video editing work in New York and in Denver. He was a kind-hearted soul, with a good sense of humor and was loved by many – he will be missed.

He is the son of Edwin and Dorothy Small of Denver, CO and is survived by his brother, David Small, who lives in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife, Rebecca. He is also survived by his niece, Jeanine and nephew, Eric.
