Stephenie Jo Zgorzynski

Steph, passed away at age 18 on October 21, 2011. She was born in Aurora, Colorado. She is survived by her parents Stephen & Julie, brother Mitch, Grandparents; Bob and Lois Mitchell, Uncles and Aunts; Thomas and Valerie Zgorzynski, Robert Zgorzynski, Edward Zgorzynski, Jeff and Jacki Mitchell, Jess and Jennifer Mitchell, Joel Mitchell, Cousins; Elizabeth Richards, Joe Zgorzynski, Matt Zgorzynski, Brandon Mitchell, Cody Mitchell, Rylee Mitchell, Brock Mitchell. Steph was homeschooled as a young girl and enjoyed gymnastics, dance, basketball, swimming, piano. In May of 2010 she graduated Rock Soild High School. She lettered in basketball, Jim Elliot HS 2008, 2009. She also attended 2008 Juarez Mexico Missions Trip and in 2009 Attended Summit Ministries - Manitou Springs, CO and 2009 Chiapas, Mexico Missions Trip. Some of Stephenie's favorite activities included; softball, hiking, skiing, photography, attending Rockies baseball games. She sang and played guitar, wrote songs. Her favorite music included praise/worship and country/western music. She was an active member of Redeemer Baptist Church, youth group, Heart Singers. Steph worked at Chic-Fil-A Havana Gardens, and attended Colorado Mountain College, Spring Valley Campus, Glenwood Springs studying in the Colorado Veterinary Tech program. Stephanie loved to be on the ranch in Nebraska riding and taking care of horses and working with cattle. Her visitation will take place Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 4-8 pm at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora. A Service will be held Friday, October 28, 2011 at Redeemer Baptist, 2 pm 18800 E. Iliff Avenue, Aurora, Colorado.
