Born July 7, 1951 in Seattle, Washington to Richard "Dick" and Marilyn Dreyer.
His family moved to Aurora, Colorado in 1961 where he grew up and attended school. He graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1969. Steve married Lyn Crosby in 1972 and just celebrated their 50th anniversary last year. Steve was an accomplished Construction Contractor/Building Project Manager. Steve oversaw many construction projects in the Denver area as well as Grass Valley, California, Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada. Steve finished his career as a Public Works Inspector for the City of Lakewood, Colorado.
He had many friends and associates from the construction contracting business and the drag racing community. His favorite hobby was drag racing where he raced his own car at Bandimere Speedway among other venues. Steve was a longtime Denver Broncos fan. He is survived by his wife Lyn; son Ivan (Lindsey) Dreyer; grandchildren Scotlyn and Levi; sister Kristen (Curt) Van Ryswyk; uncle Richard Paulson. Preceded in death by parents Richard and Marilyn Dreyer; brother Scott Dreyer. No services will be held.
