Steve Sulley

April 13, 1971 — April 27, 2019

Stephen Anthony Sulley, 48, of Arvada, Colorado, left this earth on Saturday April 27, 2019, at Lutheran Medical Center.

Although only 48 at the time of his passing, Steve affected many people in his lifetime.

Steve was born in Anchorage, Alaska on April 13, 1971. He was the second of four children of Ernie and Linda Sulley. He moved to Arvada, Colorado, shortly after he was born where he spent the remainder of his life.

Steve was an adventurous young boy who loved playing with neighborhood friends and playing youth sports including football, baseball, and basketball. He became an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan early in his childhood. He always had something up his sleeve as a teenager especially after he purchased an old Jeep. He had a passion for restoring the Jeep with the money he made by building redwood decks and patios. Steve's career started in construction at a young age.

He graduated from Arvada High School in 1989 and attended Metro State College.

Steve enjoyed coaching softball for his younger sister Alyssa and coaching baseball for his son Anthony. He also enjoyed bull riding, fishing, golfing, playing cards, gambling, traveling, hanging out with family and friends, and listening to country music. He was a proud winner of the Oh My Gawd Rodeo bull riding championship in Idaho Springs, Colorado in 1999.

Steve and his dad often fished the Wind River from the time he was a teenager. In the last few years, it became a tradition with him, his father, and his son Anthony. Steve was looking forward to this August trip bonding with his father and son.

Steve and Amy Sulley were married on August 7, 2001. They met at the Grizzly Rose. The couple became inseparable. He was her best friend, companion, and amazing loyal husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. Steve also was a very caring individual who would have done anything for anyone. One thing about Steve is that he never sugar-coated the way he felt. He was a very honest man who would tell you exactly how he felt. All Steve's family and friends respected and loved him deeply. Steve was a very hard working man who ensured that his family was well taken care of.

Steve seemed to always surprise Amy as she never knew when she might walk through the door and find a wall being torn down or the floors being ripped up. He took pride in remodeling the childhood home that he grew up in. He wanted this to be a home that had his signature stamp on it for his family and him. Steve was Amy's rock, soul mate, and her inspiration. Steve may be in heaven now, but his spirit will always be present in his wife's life. He will be truly missed and not a day will go by that we will not think about him.

Steve was a part of the Gary Leimer Flooring family for sixteen years where he served as Director of Operations. Steve was a dedicated and passionate member of the staff and played a significant role in the growth and success of the company.

Steve is survived by his loving wife Amy, son Anthony, daughter Alexis, son (aka dog) Max, step daughter Ashley, his mother and father, Ernie and Linda, his favorite sisters Gina, Tia, Alyssa, six nephews, and three nieces who each considered him their favorite uncle.

In loving memory: Steve is gone, yet not forgotten.

Although we are apart,

Your spirit is with us.

Forever in our hearts.

Steve will truly be missed by family and friends.
