Steven Hunt

Steven Lloyd Hunt, age 58, of Englewood, Colorado, passed away on October 15, 2022 after a short but valiant battle with Multiple Myeloma bone cancer.

Steve was born on December 6, 1963 to Bruce and Cammie Hunt in Lake Forest, Illinois.  He spent his youth enjoying boating and learning how to fly, obtaining his pilot’s license while still in high school.

He began his working career at the age of 15 with The Brickman Group, a National Landscape Services company.  After graduating high school, he attended Southern Illinois University and Mississippi State University studying Airplane Mechanics and Architecture.  Following college he was drawn back to his original love of landscaping and continued his career with Brickman, then Brightview for nearly 43 years.  He traveled throughout the country creating beautiful landscapes and eventually ended up in the Denver Colorado area where he’s been for the last 25+ years.

Steve’s mild-mannered personality and kindness were some of his greatest assets.  He was loved by all who knew him.

Survivors include his father, Bruce Hunt of Michigan and Florida. His Sister, Sandy Gier of Mt. Pleasant, WI. His nieces Megan Gier of Chicago and Rachael Gier of Richmond, Il, along with multiple beloved Aunts, an Uncle and numerous cousins. He was preceded by in death by his mother Cammie Hunt.

Visitation will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014 on October 24, 2022 from 4 to 6pm.
