Stoddard White 82, passed away February 8, 2006. He was born October 23, 1923 in Evanston, IL. After the death of his father he moved to Denver in 1930. He graduated from East High School, Denver University and DU College of Law. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He spent 20 years with Illinois California Express (ICX) and became President in January 1961. He spent 18 years with Mountain States Bank and retired as Senior Vice President and head of the Trust Department. He was a past member of the Directors of Regis University, served on the Colorado and Denver Chambers of Commerce and was a past Commodore of the Grand Lake Yacht Club. He dedicated his retirement years to preserving the water quality of the three lakes in Grand County. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Margaret, daughters Marianne LeBois, Jan (Mike) White, son Stoddard Jr.(Carol), sister Bettye Garrett, 6 grandchildren, brother-in-law Dr. Charles Meyer (Rita) and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2006 at All Souls Catholic Church, 4950 S. Logan St., Englewood, CO 80113.
