“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” —Winnie The Pooh
On April 10th after being blessed with one last Easter with her family, Susan Anne Golesh, passed away peacefully at UC Health Highlands Ranch, at 59 years old.
As Sue’s family grieves her loss they are thankful that the goodbye was a hard one, it meant she lived a full life where she loved and was loved by all who were fortunate enough to know her. It was hard to say goodbye, they didn’t want her to go, but her Lord was calling.
The most loving Mom her children Adam, Grant, and Madison could’ve asked for, her family were her world, and her legacy. Always ready to come running when they called, with a home cooked meal in hand, ready to fight any battle with them or for them. It was that same devotion and love that she continued to show as she became a Grandma.
The hardest worker you’ve ever met, Sue and her husband John, built many companies in Denver, touching hundreds of lives as they did, from their employees and clients, to contractors and competitors. It was impossible to not love “Miss Sue” or the “Boss Lady” as many came to call her.
The most giving heart, Sue was always raising money for and trying to help the causes near to her heart including animals, veterans, and sex trafficking. A true Christian who believed that her good fortune should be used to help others, many called her “Sweet Sue” a name she rightly deserved.
Born in 1963 in Denver, Sue is predeceased by her Grandmothers, Grandfathers, Mother In Law, and dear friends. Left to grieve and honor her are her husband John, sons Adam and Grant, Daughter Madison, Daughter in Laws Antoinette and Kimmie, Grandsons Broden and Beckham, Parents Patty and Rueben, Siblings Christine and Scott, and dozens of much loved Brother and Sister In Laws, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to one of Sue’s favorite charities Mercury One, Operation Restored Warriors, or the Denver Audubon Society.
Sue’s family invites you to honor her with them at either or both events below.
