PASS, SUSAN B. Family Therapist Susan B. Pass, 62, of Denver passed away Oct. 4, 2004. Born in New York City in 1942. She graduated with a B.A. from American University School of Government in 1964. In 1964-1965 she served the U.S. Government as a planning officer for military families in Germany. She earned a Master's degree in social work from Columbia University. Susan married Michael Pass in 1971 and relocated to Denver in 1974. Between 1976 and 1981 she was the Director of Planning of the Denver Employment and Training Administration, now known as the Mayor's Office of Workforce Development. Susan continued her career in human services as a primary grant-writer for Warren Village. With her husband, she co-founded the Jackson Place Counseling Group in 1985. As a therapist Susan served many families, couples and individuals in transition. In 2000, Susan and her husband Michael fulfilled a life-long dream of building a home in Mexico. While in Mexico, Susan continued her practice as a psychotherapist and enjoyed time with friends and family in the Mexican sunshine. Susan was devoted to her husband, children and grandchild and will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Wife of the late Michael A. Pass; mother of Justin (Robyn) Pass and Alexandra (Brian) Smits; grandmother of Caroline Grace Smits; daughter of Edward Boyd and Anita Boyd; sister of Elaine Ginnold, Christopher (Robin) Boyd, Jennifer (John) Sosenko, Anne (Jeff) Wein; also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial service, Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, 2:00 pm, St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, 1350 Washington St. Committal, All Soul's Walk.
