Susan Preston Victery

Susan Preston Victery, devoted mother, passed away on September 4, 2017 at her home in Castle Pines, Colorado. Born in Birmingham, England in 1967, Susan was raised in Williamsville, New York near Buffalo and graduated from Williamsville High School. Upon achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Susan worked as a traveling nurse. Her work eventually brought her to Colorado where she met the love of her life, Harry Clopton Victery III. While on top of mountain, Harry proposed to Susan and the two were married on March 30, 1996. After Harry’s passing, Susan continued to raise her two children in Castle Pines. She was known among family and friends as devoted mother and athlete. She was an expert skier and runner who also enjoyed music, gardening, cooking, and the company of close friends. She is survived by her two children David Harry Victery and Mark Lawrence Victery; mother-in-law, Yvonne Victery; father-in-law Bo Victery; brother, Steve Preston; sister, Kim; mother, Barbara Arbogast; and her loyal pet, Cocoa. A Graveside Service in Susan's honor will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017, 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Boulevard, Centennial, Colorado 80121. Even though Susan loved flowers, she was most concerned for her children, David and Mark. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted on their behalf for their education.
