Susan Marie ""Sue"" Waln

Susan Marie Waln, nee Ritter, age 68, died in Denver, Colorado on January 29, 2019. Born August 23, 1950 in Denver, Colorado, she lived in Denver for most of her life. She worked as a paralegal for several real estate development companies and played a role in many of the exciting developments during the boom days of Denver expansion, including E-470, Dove Valley, and Bromley Park. Sue was an avid animal lover, acting as a loving pet mom for many animals over the years. She had a particular soft spot for animals in need and nursed several animals who were near death to long and healthy lives. She was an active skier, swimmer and tennis player. She also enjoyed travel to many places, including several European locations, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Survivors include her husband Steve Waln of Denver, Colorado, her daughter Jennifer Skeeters, son-in law Dan Skeeters, and grandchildren Jaimie and John Schoenke of Westminster, Colorado, and her sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Bob Humphrey of Bettendorf, Iowa. Relatives and friends are welcome to join her celebration of life at Jennifer and Dan Skeeters' home at 9240 W 100th Way, Westminster, Colorado, 80021 on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at 1pm.
