Susie May Furru McDonald was born April 7, 1940 and passed away January 19, 2017. She is survived by her son John, her daughter Mary, her son Tom, her grandchildren Tawnie and Tenae and her daughter-n-law Karie and many friends and family who loved her dearly. Susie Furru McDonald (aka as Mama McDonald) lived a life with heart and soul. Her zest and determination to live life and fight for her life was like no other. She lite up the room wherever she went and nobody was a stranger to her for very long. She was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin and moved to Denver with her family and attended Cherry Creek High School where she was a cheerleader and had many dear friends. After high school she pursued her dream of becoming a flight attendant. That is where she met Joe Allison her husband then moved to Clear Lake Texas. Soon there after she had 3 wonderful children who loved her more than anything in life. Susie was an amazing mom, who loved her kids more than she loved herself. She always made sure her kids were involved in every sport, tap dance, drill team, foot ball team when they were young. She was always right there rooting her kids on as they played their sports. However, she never won the lottery, even though she tried relentlessly. She bought lottery tickets like clock work every week for many years. She loved the penny slots at black hawk and hit it big a few times. She always loved the jobs she had and made so many wonderful life long friends on her journey through life. So much to say about this one of a kind sweet lady. She did so much for everyone and was always thinking about other people. We are going to miss all her quirky, funny sayings, phone calls, getting her mail and receiving her homemade meals she would come put on our front porch. We miss you!!! A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial. A gathering will be held at the home of John and Karie Allison after the service. Please share memories of Susie and condolences with the family by signing the guestbook below.
