Sydney Elizabeth Beal

October 6, 1966 — November 29, 2016

Sydney Elizabeth Beal died November 29, 2016. She fought a courageous five month battle with lung cancer but was determined to continue her happy and fulfilling life. She spent those months surrounded by the love of her family and many friends who came from near and far to support and visit with her. Sydney was born October 6, 1966 in Denver Colorado to Richard and Marilyn Beal. Her brother Brad, joined the family in 1969. The family moved from Colorado to Hillsborough, California in 1977. While in California, Sydney excelled academically, as she was elected Student Council President at Hillsborough Middle School and a Merit Scholar at San Mateo High. She graduated from U.C. Davis with a degree in psychology. She began her career in many different fields which led to her attending D.U. Sturm College of Law, graduating in 2008 to begin her career as a lawyer. She spent many years associated with the Colorado Woman's Hall of Fame and was honored when asked to serve as legal counsel on the foundation's board. In her time there she met many fine and accomplished women who became close friends. In 2015 she acquired her real-estate license. Sydney was a beautiful, strong, intelligent woman who loved her family, her friends and of course her adoring Pomeranian, Scotch. She was ""one of a kind"". Sydney was preceded in death by her father Richard and survived by her mother Marilyn, her brother Brad, sister-in-law Danielle, niece Shaya, and nephews Izyk and Ethan. A service in her honor will take place in the Family Chapel at Horan & McConaty, 1091 South Colorado Blvd., at 11:00am Saturday, December 10, 2016. The service will be followed by a Celebration of Life reception at her mother's home at 3045 Ohm Way, Denver, Colorado 80209.
