Sylvester Visnyei

Sylvester “Jay” Visnyei Jr., age 58, died in his home on May 3, 2021.  Jay accepted the LORD into his life at a Billy Graham Crusade in 1987.  In 1989 he attended a Christian Singles Retreat in Buena Vista, CO where he met his wife-to-be.  Prior to that time Jay attended a community college and then went onto a trade school for Heating & Air Conditioning.  These paths led him to an occupation that he took a great deal of pride in at Johnstone Supply Denver.  In his 17+ years with the company he formed many forever friendships with co-workers and customers.

Jay loved studying The New King James Bible and sharing his faith with others, spending precious time with his family and friends, maintaining his 75 gallon fresh-water fish tank and creating his WWII tank dioramas.  Jay is survived by his wife, Stacey of 30+ years; their sons, Jason and Nathan; his parents, Sylvester and Agnes; his siblings, Andrew (Tammy), Sandra (Larry); his niece, Kayla; his aunts, uncle, cousins and many, many friends.  Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents, two uncles and several cousins.

“Celebration of Life” services will take place at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (7691 S University Blvd., Centennial, CO  80122) Friday, May 21, 2021 at 1:00pm

Jay’s boldness and love will live on in the hearts and minds of all those he touched.  Let’s continue to share the love of Jesus Christ to all those we encounter just as Jay would.
