Tamara L. Wallington
September 17, 1967 - June 8, 2020
Tamara Lynn Wallington passed away at her home in Aurora on June 8th, 2020. She was born on September 17, 1967 in Denver, CO to Larry Ferris and Leann Woertman. At age 7, she was adopted by Walter Woertman.
On December 27, 1985 she married William Wallington and together they had three children, Emily, Timothy and Chelsey.
She enjoyed music, sports and gourmet cooking. Tamara never missed a Broncos game. She burned garlic bread, but made a mean Coq au vin. She loved to dance and have a good time. Every Friday night was Disco Night at her house. She taught her kids how to dance. They were a hit at all the school dances and won a dance competition while on a family vacation in Mexico.
When she was a kid she was always asking for a pet. Wally and Leann said, ""You can have a zoo when you move out, but you aren't getting any more pets."" She took them up on that. She had dogs, a cat, turtles, a potbellied pig, fish, a turkey, a horse, chickens and ducks.
She spent her life working in the medical field. She started out working in labs, overcame her fear of blood and became a phlebotomist and eventually moved into the IT department.
Tamara was the best.
She is survived by her children, Emily (Steve), Timothy (Marilyn) and Chelsey (Jared), their father William, her mother Leann, her sister Carlene (Charles), her best buddy Kobi and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by Larry, Walter, and her grandmother Irene.
No memorial is planned. There will be an all-day celebration of life for family and friends on Saturday, June 13th.
