Tamera Dee Lunsway

Tamera Dee Lunsway, 80, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on August 17, 2023. She was born in Goodland on January 17, 1943 to K.O. and Alberta Myers. Tamera was a devoted, loving, and caring mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and her role as a homemaker.

Tamera had a passion for various hobbies and interests. She enjoyed drawing, gardening (she was a Master Pruner), playing bridge, cooking, reading, and taking care of others. Tamera's home was always open to guests, and she loved hosting them with warmth and hospitality. She shared special moments playing cards with her grandchildren, and according to them, was an expert Uno player. Tamera also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble with her sister and niece.

Tamera's educational journey began at Oakley Elementary School and continued at Oakley High School where she was a cheerleader and excelled in academics, musicals and plays. She married Jim Lunsway on August 5th, 1962 and the couple lived in Oakley until 1973 when the family moved to Goodland. They remained living there until 2005 when they relocated to Denver. 

Tamera is survived by her former spouse Jim Lunsway of Denver, son Kenny Lunsway of Denver, daughter Angie Borrello of Charlotte, North Carolina, sister Pam Caldwell of San Diego and four grandchildren. Memories of Tamera will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

Tamera will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire and touch the lives of those she left behind.

A service will be held 12:30 PM October 21st, 2023 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Crematorium at 11150 E Dartmouth Ave in Aurora, Colorado. Reception following ceremony.
