Terence W. Riester

Terence (Terry) Riester passed from this earthly realm, as he was called by God on Sunday December, 4th 2016 at the age of 80. He was a faithful and devoted family man who was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Riester in 1991, and is survived in life by his wife Rose Riester, brother Robert Riester (Ginny), his children – Michael Riester (Barb), Robert Riester, Katherine Hellfritz (Mark) and Thomas Riester, as well as grandchildren Erika and Lindsay Hellfritz, Jackie Riester, Andrew, Adam and Allison Riester; three nieces and a nephew – Jennifer and Dan Riester, Kristin Koester and Karin Walters; five cousins – Bill and Dan Reagan, Mari Clare Reagan- Klein, Emily Laux, and Tom Dedrick. He is also survived by his Ohio family of Jeff Boehler (Claren), Kathy (Tom) Derr, Jim Boehler (Lisa), John Boehler (Sarah), Andy Boehler (Shelley), and 12 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 23 years and was a Bronze Star recipient. Following his military career, he ran his own business, Terry's Window Treatment Service for 25 years before retiring and residing in Port Clinton, Ohio and Ft. Myers Beach Florida for his love of fishing and the tropics. He also served his church and community as a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Aurora Council 4079, and was a Eucharistic Minister for the Roman Catholic Church. Services in Port Clinton, Ohio will be as follows: Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father John Missler at 10:00 am Friday, December 9, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH. Interment Services in Denver, Colorado will be as follows: Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO followed by escort for Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery promptly at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Ottawa County Veterans Administration or the American Cancer Society.
