Teresa Louise Atencio, age 49, died on May 6, 2022 at 12:54 PM. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School (1991 - Denver, CO). Mrs. Atencio was born in McPherson, KS on September 24, 1972 but moved to Colorado shortly thereafter, where she spent the remainder of her life. Mrs. Atencio met her husband, William, in 1989, and they were married October 14, 2000. Mrs. Atencio worked 8 years with the Cherry Creek School District prior to her passing.
Mrs. Atencio's passion was her family - and she lived her passion to the fullest as the world's greatest mother, wife, sister, daughter, daughter-in-law and best friend. She was a great advocate of the outdoors, where her family spent a great deal of time together, and had a unique love for the sea. She is survived by her husband (William), their two daughters (Avery and Alexandra), and their son (Jackson). She is also survived by her sister (Stephanie) and her parents (Edward and Margaret Rogers).
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 19th, 2022 from 6:00-7:00pm at the Horan & McConaty located at 5303 E. County Line with the Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 7:00pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday May 20th, 2022 starting at 11:00am located Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Parish, 18000 E Arapahoe Rd, Aurora, CO 80016.
A Celebration of Life for Teresa will follow the Funeral Mass from 1:00 - 4:00pm at Blackstone Country Club, 7777 South Country Club Parkway, Aurora, CO 80016.
