Teresa Lorene Debaillon (neé Sauter) passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior Jesus on the morning of September 19th, 2022. Born on July 18th, 1948 in Denver to George Sr. and Helen Sauter, she spent her childhood skipping down the dirt road of the family farm outside of Bennett and singing songs with her siblings.
She married the love of her life, Chuck, on October 2nd 1982, and together they shared a mutual love of music, good wine, and travel as they raised their son Thomas.
For over forty years Teresa served as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, first in orthopedics, then in the NICU where she was able to bless the lives of many. "Trixie O’Day" as she was called is still remembered fondly among her former workmates. She also was an active member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Parish, devout to her faith to the very end.
She is survived by husband of nearly 40 years Charles "Chuck" Debaillon III and her son Thomas (Rachel) Debaillon, siblings George (Nancy) Sauter, Vincent (Beverly) Sauter, Chris Strack, Thomas (Diane) Sauter, and Anita (Damian) Klausner, and many nephews and nieces. Her kindness, her sense of humor, and her immense love will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.
Her celebration of life will take place at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Parish on October 3rd at 1130AM, with the private burial service to be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Denver Rescue Mission.
