Teresa "Teri" McClung

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Teri McClung on April 9, 2025. Born February 2, 1955, Teri leaves behind a vibrant legacy of compassion, love, kindness, empathy and intuition. Her vibrant personality has touched many hearts and her influence will continue to be felt by those who loved her.

Teri is survived by her adored spouse Mike Dinges, her beloved children Ashley Vaughn, Dylan Vaughn and step-daughter Bree Dinges. She was a pillar of strength for her cherished grandchildren Ashlyn Grigsby and Kiera (Kumiko) Vaughn-Collier. Teri also leaves behind her older siblings, Stanley McClung and Jeffrey McClung, and their respective families. She is further remembered by her son-in-law, Randy Daugherty and Grandson Anthony Smith. Teri is preceded in death by her wonderful parents, Leslie McClung and Betty McClung, her sister-in-law Kathy McClung, and the amazing Charles Friedenbach.

A lifelong fan of music, her favorite pastimes included hosting events, attending concerts, singing, painting, puzzles, crafting, Scrabble, Yahtzee, Rummi, and Jax, watching her Denver Broncos, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends. Teri treasured simple moments, her favorite way to exercise was by taking a walk with her dogs. Teri truly loved all animals, especially her family dogs and the neighborhood squirrels and birds. She also had fondness for Green and Purple, crystals, antiques, her garden and her jewelry!

Her utensils were her magic wand and her kitchen was her stage. One of her greatest accomplishments was creating her cooking blog, through which she shared her creative recipes with people she loved. Teri was blessed with being able to host concerts with amazing people she met, in her backyard. This, among many other moments, made her beautiful life extraordinarily special.

With a nature best described as bubbly, compassionate, eccentric, loving, caring, intelligent, positive and intuitive, Teri had a unique way of touching lives. She firmly believed in being yourself, in loving oneself and others, in spreading joy and kindness, in looking forward, in caring for everyone. These values she stood by will continue to inspire those who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted to assist with funeral expenses at Everloved. It is a fitting tribute to Teri's selfless character that support be given to the family in this time of need.

Teri McClung was a beautiful woman, a talented artist, a doting daughter, a caring mother, a loving friend, and a remarkable person. She will forever be remembered for her love and light in the hearts of those she touched.

Please share memories and condolences with Teri's family by signing the guestbook.
